The Southampton University Symphony Orchestra returns to Turner Sims for their final programme of this academic year
Come and join us for an afternoon of classical favourites at a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ styled concert. After a very successful first season with the orchestra, including a sold-out Turner Sims performance, Susanna Riddell guides this highly regarded orchestra through an eclectic, celebratory programme. Ranging from Vaughan-Williams’s serene ‘The Lark Ascending’ to the triumphant Ravel’s ‘Bolero’, the mischievousness of Enescu’s ‘Romanian Rhapsody to No. 1’, to the traditions of Edward Elgar and Henry Wood, this really is a concert with something for everyone!
Turner Sims is a concert hall in Southampton University campus, and hosts a programme of world-class music including classical, jazz, world and folk.
