Kandyan and Bharata Natyam

Kandyan and Bharatanatyam are two of the most well known, traditional Sri Lankan and Indian classical dances.

Kandyan dancing is a type of traditional Sri Lankan dancing originated from the area called Kandy in Sri Lanka. It is well known for their vibrant costumes and live drums being played when performing.

Bharatanatyam originates from South India and it reflects the culture of India at its best. Hallmarks of this dance are the eloquents of expression and the precision of footwork to intricate mathematical rhythms.
